সএসসি পরীক্ষা পিছিয়ে আগস্টে
সারাদেশের বন্যা পরিস্থিতি এখনও স্বাভাবিক না হওয়ায় জুলাই মাসে এসএসসি ও সমমান পরীক্ষা হবে না বলে জানিয়েছেন ঢাকা মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক তপন কুমার সরকার। তিনি জানান, বন্যা পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক হলে এসএসসি পরীক্ষা আগস্ট মাসে শুরু হবে।
রোববার (৩ জুলাই) দুপুরে তিনি ঢাকা পোস্টকে বলেন, জুলাই মাসে এসএসসি পরীক্ষা নেওয়া সম্ভব হবে না। কারণ আমরা আজকে সবাইকে নিয়ে পরিস্থিতি পর্যালোচনা করে দেখেছি যে, সিলেটের অর্ধেকেরও বেশি কেন্দ্র এখন আশ্রয়কেন্দ্র হিসেবে ব্যবহার হচ্ছে। এগুলো সংস্কার করে পুনরায় পরীক্ষার উপযোগী করতে সময় লাগবে। তাই জুলাই মাসে পরীক্ষা নেওয়া সম্ভব হবে না। আগস্ট মাসে পরীক্ষা শুরু হবে।
আগস্টের কত তারিখ পরীক্ষা শুরু হতে পারে, জানতে চাইলে তিনি বলেন, আমরা ঈদের পর বিষয়টি নিয়ে আলোচনায় বসব। এরপর পরীক্ষার নতুন তারিখ জানাতে পারব।
তাহলে কি এইচএসসি পরীক্ষা আরও পিছিয়ে যাবে, জানতে চাইলে ঢাকা শিক্ষা বোর্ড চেয়ারম্যান বলেন, যেহেতু এইচএসসি পরীক্ষা এসএসসি পরীক্ষার সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত, তাই এই পরীক্ষাও পিছিয়ে যাবে।
জানা যায়, দুপুরে আন্তঃবোর্ডের এক সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভায় এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়।
প্রসঙ্গত, দেশব্যাপী এসএসসি ও সমমানের পরীক্ষা শুরু হওয়ার কথা ছিল গত ১৯ জুন থেকে। তবে সিলেটসহ দেশের কয়েকটি এলাকায় বন্যা পরিস্থিতির অবনতি হওয়ায় ১৭ জুন এসএসসি পরীক্ষা স্থগিতের ঘোষণা আসে।
